Trusting Through Adversity

Our society today is in a panic. I see it daily in the news and on social media. It seems like it has been one storm after another. In the verse above, the Apostle Paul gives us a visual of this very scene. The Bible reminds us that the rain falls on the “just and the unjust” (Matthew 5:45).Translation—blessings and adversity happen to those who are followers of Jesus Christ and those who are evil and reject God completely.

There are no better four words that describe our nation, our culture and our world than these.Allow me to encourage you! No matter what has happened to you personally or what valley you’re currently walking through today, God is in control. He knows what you need and when you need it. He reminds us in Psalms 23 that He is the “Good Shepherd” and that He is “My Shepherd” — Meaning, He is your personal Shepherd. He exists to guide you, guard you, protect you, lead you and take care of you.You may feel like you’re abandoned or barely hanging by a thread. You are not! He’s got you! Don’t trust in your feelings - they will fail you. Trust in the Lord. He knows what you need and when you need it. His eye is keenly on you. You are His personal sheep and He always provides and takes care of His sheep.Let go and trust the One who holds your future in the Palm of His hands.The God of heaven loves you unconditionally!Love God.
