Tailored to your family’s needs, Imagine Ministry offers alternative classroom settings differing by age group as well as an inclusive buddy system in our typical Sunday morning environments. In addition, we provide a Sunday school small group setting for high functioning adults with special needs.
Our two alternative classroom environments offer age-appropriate settings and Bible stories for our Imagine kids and students.
Our buddy system offers the option of joining along in our Preschool through Middle School Ministries on Sunday mornings.
A Three-Fold Approach
Our Room Environments
Located in Compass, our Birth-5th Image-ine classroom offers a sensory Bible story, toys and sensory activities that go along with the morning’s lesson, as well as caring classroom leaders who enjoy getting to know and spend time with your children.
Our sensory room offers a space for our buddies and their kids to meet as they arrive to church and walk to their Preschool or Children’s classrooms from there. It also provides a “break room” for kids during the service hour in case any portion of our preschool or children’s programming leads to overstimulation or frustration. It is equipped with a quiet area, a sensory area, a play area, as well as our buddy bins that are assigned specifically to a child filled with materials such as pill box schedules, fidget toys, and more based on each child’s needs to take to class. Our Buddy System takes place in our NorthStar Kidz and 678 classroom environments. Your child will participate in these environments along with their peers.
Our Image-ine Youth classroom is located in our True North building along with the Middle and High school environments. It offers a sensory wall as well as the capability to create an entire sensory environment with blackout curtains, a LED bubble tube, and a galaxy star projector. In this class, we also offer a sensory Bible story in an environment that caters specifically to Middle and High School students.
Located in True North, our Imagine adult small group utilizes Together curriculum. Together is an inclusive adult Bible study that provides learners of all abilities an important set of tools so that each participant can grow in relationship with God and with one another. A facilitator leads the Bible study portion and participants are given the opportunity to take different roles for the morning such as prayer leader, activities coordinator, and more.
Imagine offers Intermission respite nights for families with special needs kids through adults. Intermission is held on four Saturdays throughout the year from 4 to 6:30pm.
We provide fun activities, dinner, and a sensory Bible story experience while parents and caregivers enjoy a night out to themselves.
