THE HEART OF NORTHSTAR: A HEART TO GO
There was a tour group that was going to the top of the Empire State Building. At about the 102nd floor, a woman asked the tour guide, “If the cables on this elevator break, do we go up or down? ”The tour guide answered, “Well, that depends on how you are living.”
Well which way we go as a church in 2019 depends on who we are following. In Mark 1:44, Jesus healed a leper and changed his life. Jesus then told the leper to go and show the priest to prove what Jesus had done and who Jesus was. And “go” is exactly what the healed leper did.
When we experience the love, mercy and healing of Jesus there is a natural tendency to want to go where He wants you to go and to do what Jesus wants you to do. Have you taken time to ask Jesus where He wants you to go in 2019 and what He wants you to do? Is there any area of service within the church Jesus wants you to serve? Is there an outreach in the community that Jesus is asking you to help with? Is there something in your own home that Jesus is asking you to change?
