FRIDAY, JANUARY 11
“But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but
was out in desolate places, and people were coming to Him from every quarter.”
Mark 1:44 ESV
THE HEART OF NORTHSTAR: A HEART FOR OTHERS TO HEAR
A man went to see his doctor in a state of high anxiety. “Doctor,” he said, “you have to help me. I’m dying. Everywhere I touch it hurts. I touch my head and it hurts. I touch my leg and it hurts. I touch my stomach and it hurts. I touch my chest and it hurts. You have to help me, Doc, everything hurts.” The doctor gave him a complete examination. “Mr. Smith,” he said, “I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is you are not dying. The bad news is you have a broken finger.”
After Jesus healed the leper, the leper wanted everyone to hear about his life changing good news. Even though Jesus told the leper not to tell anyone except the priest about his healing, the leper couldn’t keep it a secret. His life had been changed and he wanted others to meet Jesus.
Our church is filled with people whose lives were changed after they met Jesus. We want to be a church filled with the good news of life changing stories. We also want to be the type of church that has a heart for others to hear how Jesus can change their lives. Ask God who you can share your faith story with today.
