ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
Some Things To Be Thankful For This Thanksgiving:
- Be thankful for automatic dishwashers. They make it possible to get out of the kitchen before the family comes in for their after-dinner snacks.
- Be thankful for husbands who attack small repair jobs around the house. They usually make them big enough to call in professionals.
- Be thankful for teenagers. They give parents an opportunity to learn a second language.
- Be thankful for smoke alarms. They let you know when the turkey’s done. (Richard Burkey)
This week is typically a time of year that we stop to remember the things and people we are thankful for. We are going to look at a few things the Apostle Paul was grateful for in the church of Thessalonica. In 1 Thessalonians 2:13, the Apostle Paul wrote, “we also thank God constantly.” He then proceeded to list things he was constantly thankful for about them as a church family.
NorthStar church is thankful for you! We are constantly thankful for the people who make up this beautiful tapestry of believers that we call home. We are thankful for the ones who have been here from the beginning and thankful for the ones who are new every week. We are thankful for the ones who serve so others can sit and learn. We are thankful for the ones who give so others can be ministered to. We are thankful for those who show up when we are hurting and those who greet us with a smile on the rainy days. List a few of the things and people you are thankful for this year.
