Guided Prayer: Acts 3:18-19
Today is Day 5 of Lent. Lent is the 40-day time period before Easter that is really a season of self- examination, of self-denial, of emptying ourselves of the things of this world, and filling ourselves with the greater things of God.
Our Scripture for today is in Acts 3, Verses 18 and 19, and it says:
“But the things which God announced beforehand, by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer he has thus fulfilled. Therefore, repent and return so that your sins may be wiped away in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
Right where you are, get comfortable and relax, and let’s enter into a time of prayer.
Right where you are, ask God to help you, to walk out and live in His Grace Today.
And ask Him for His Freedom today; that you would actually live out the abundant life and the free life that He died for you to have.
And then also ask Him to help you use that Grace, not as a license to sin, but instead to be this fuel to deepen your desire to seek Him, to be with Him, and to please Him.
And then ask God, “Would you show me how real your Grace is in my life?”
PRAYER
God thank you so much for your Grace in our lives. God thank you for the freedom that you have given us that we get to live in every single day. And God, thank you that in repentance, times of refreshing can come from your presence. And so, we love you God, we ask that you would help us to seek you in a new way this Lent season. Would you free us of the things of the world that we’ve let come in and gain ground in our lives, and would you fill us fresh with the things of you and your spirit Lord? We love you, and we pray all of these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
