A Firm Foundation

Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it.

Psalm 127:1

Not long ago I was watching an HGTV program on TV. The construction crew was building a new home for a family who had fallen on hard times and was in desperate need. In the early stages of the construction process, the general contractor made a statement that struck me. He said, “The most important part of building a home is its foundation.” If the foundation of the home is not firm and completed correctly, it will be just a matter of time before cracks appear and the home will eventually crumble.

In a similar way, God reminds us in His word that unless the Lord builds the foundation of our life, no amount of self-righteous acts we do will ever earn His favor or be good enough to get us into heaven. We must allow Jesus Christ to be the architect, the contractor and the builder of our life. Because if we don’t, it will be just a matter of time before the foundation of our life will crack and crumble.

I remind and encourage you to allow Jesus Christ to be the Chief Foundation Cornerstone (CFC) of your life. It will be the best decision that you will make!

Be Worth Being,

Kevin
