Time Well-Spent

Now when the Jewish leaders saw the [boldness] of Peter and John, and perceived that they were [uneducated, common men], they were astonished. And they recognized that they had [been with Jesus].

Acts 4:13

Greetings!

The verse above is one of my favorites in the Bible. Why? I’m glad you asked. Because it gives each of us so much hope. Whether you’re highly educated or uneducated, rich or poor, hall of fame coach or little league coach, an articulate orator or a plain simpleton; God looks at none of that. He looks at our heart!

You see, Peter and John were mere fishermen. They were “uneducated, ordinary, common men;” however, they spent time with Jesus. They spent a lot of time with Jesus. I’m reminded the word L.O.V.E. is spelled T.I.M.E.

Peter and John ate with Him. They prayed with Him. They did ministry with Him. They served with Him. They wept with Him. They healed with Him. They walked with Him. They did life with Him!

I encourage you, if you have a deep desire to be used by God, to make an impact on His Kingdom, and to leave a legacy that will far out live you, simply spend time with Jesus, daily. Chew on His Word daily so it flows from your very soul.

Praise Him. Worship Him. Pray to Him. Give to Him with your time, talents, treasures and temple. Study His word (the Bible). Share His word to a lost and dying world around you. Simply, imitate what He did.

The religious leaders of that day were “astonished” because they “recognized” that Peter and John had “been with Jesus.”

Let that very thing be said about you and me as well.

Be Worth Being!

Kevin
