We have reached a pivotal moment in the life of NorthStar Church – and we have the chance to be part of the exciting story that is unfolding. In the past year alone, we have experienced unprecedented growth. Additionally, our communities of Acworth and Kennesaw continue to be a central focus of our mission to help people find their way Home! We open our doors to several hundred community events annually, and the demand for community event space continues to increase! What an incredible opportunity to show God’s love to tens of thousands of people!

Our Why
We’ll do WHATEVER IT TAKES to provide additional opportunities and larger gathering spaces for our children to learn about Jesus and come to put their faith in Him!
On any given Sunday, NorthStar hosts 450-550 children on our campus – birth through 5th grade. We’ve worked hard through the years to enhance the gathering spaces for our kids. But we still have limited space to grow this ministry and accommodate the growing number of young families bringing preschool and elementary children.

In addition, many of our children’s classrooms and gathering spaces are reaching capacity due to fire, safety and capacity limitations, causing those spaces to close. As a result, those children have to sit with their parents in service and miss out on the opportunity to learn about Jesus in a way that is tailored to them.
We’ll do WHATEVER IT TAKES to continue to be a light to our community and provide meeting and event spaces for these organizations.
NorthStar hosts more than 300 community events each calendar year, with 50,000+ people attending non-NorthStar events on our campus! And there are  many examples of men, women, and students ultimately coming to attend a service at NorthStar Church because of an impression made on them at a community event we hosted.

Despite the number of events we can accommodate, there are still many instances when we must tell an organization we cannot host an event because our spaces are already booked.
We’ll do WHATEVER IT TAKES to increase seating capacity for our Sunday worship gatherings to allow our church family to Live Sent by inviting their friends, family, and neighbors to hear about Jesus.
Without question, the Number One reason people find themselves at NorthStar Church on a Sunday morning is because they were invited by someone. At the heart of our church family is the notion of INVESTING and INVITING others. It’s Living Sent!

There are more than 70,000 unchurched and unreached people within a 15-minute drive of NorthStar Church who need to hear the hope that is only offered through Jesus Christ!

God is up to something at NorthStar. We have seen a 23 percent increase in our adult worship attendance in 2023. Further, we have been blessed to witness more than 150 baptisms at The Springs in 2023!
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the church have funds to apply to the construction expenses?

Yes, we will be using about $1.5 million that we have accumulated since paying off our previous debt.

will we be out of the building?

Yes, we will be out of the building for a TBD amount of time in summer of 2025.  We are working  on some creative solutions to how we meet as a church during that time.

what about the parking?

We will still have about 600 parking spaces on our campus and will be working with the library and Croft to secure more spots.

why aren't we planting churches instead of building?

We do support several church plants in our area and across the country today and have been doing so for years.

are we getting rid of our BeBold giving?

We do not plan to change anything about our current budget and how we meet the needs in our community.

When will construction start?

We plan to begin mobilizing for construction at some point in May/June 2024 timeframe.

Will we be getting a loan?

Yes, we will need a loan to complete the construction in the 15 or so months we are planning.  The campaign is scheduled to be 3 years and the contractor will have completed the project and been paid well before that.

As God provides through His people, we will pay the loan off as quickly as possible.  Our prayer is at the end of 3 years we are again debt free.
