50 What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor can corruption inherit incorruption.

1 Corinthians 15:50

Incorruptible

1 Corinthians 15:50 serves as a summary statement to his teaching about the nature of the Resurrected Body in vv.35-49.Paul concludes that the natural body cannot enter the eternal state and that our sin-stained bodies must be transformed. Paul states that "flesh and blood" cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.Flesh and blood is a figure of speech that refers to our natural bodies. There is no aspect of creation that the cancer of sin has not touched. Our world and our bodies are infected with this nature of sin and decay. The eternal state will be a place of perfection and completion, where ALL THINGS are restored and made right. This restoration includes our bodies. Thus, as Paul concludes his argument, he wants to make it clear that our natural bodies will be transformed into resurrected bodies that will be without decay and death.Take a moment to imagine your resurrected body. No aches and pains. No sickness or disease. No self-conscious doubt about your looks. No pride in beauty or brawn. No insecurity. A body designed to live life to the full with others and ultimately with our creator and our Father.Flesh and bone cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, but our resurrected bodies certainly will.
