“Now many Samaritans from that city believed in Jesus and trusted Him as Savior because of the woman’s testimony when she said, “He told me all the things that I have done.”
John 4:39
The story of the nameless and faceless Samaritan woman at the well, recorded in the Gospel of John, is a revealing one, full of truth and powerful lessons for us today. God loves us in spite of our bankrupt lives. Like a heat-seeking missile, God highly values us enough to actively seek us out and to welcome us into intimacy. As a result of Jesus' ‘relational’ conversation, only a person like the Samaritan woman, an outcast from her very own people, could understand what this means. To be wanted, to be cared for unconditionally, when no one, not even herself, could see anything of value in her—this is amazing grace!Listen closely and please grasp the following truth. Your very own testimony about what Jesus has done for you and how He has intersected and transformed your life from spiritual death to spiritual life is the most powerful tool you own in leading others to faith in Jesus Christ. No one can argue with your own personal encounter with Jesus. No one can disprove what Jesus has done for you. You own it! It’s your testimony! It’s your story! Never be ashamed of your story (Romans 1:16). Salvation comes only to those who recognize their desperate need for a “right-relationship” with God—through His One and only Son, Jesus Christ. This “Living Water” can only be obtained by those that you do life around, who recognize they are spiritually depleted and spiritually thirsty.Remember: “Evangelism is just one beggar, telling another beggar, where to find bread.”As you lock eyes with Jesus today and walk towards Him, be that conduit in someone’s life by sharing YOUR very own personal testimony. It’s the most powerful tool you own!“Go and Tell”Be Worth Being,KevinSUBSCRIBE TO "OVER THE HUMP" DEVOTIONALKevin Burrell has worked in professional baseball as both a player and MLB scout for the past 40 years, and currently serves as an area scouting supervisor.
