“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt, nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. For the one who sows to his flesh will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”
Galatians 6:7-8 AMP
Once there was a little boy who lived far out in the country. The family still used an outhouse, and the little boy hated it because it was so hot in the summer, freezing cold in the winter, and smelled all the time. The outhouse was sitting on the bank of a creek and the boy was determined that one day he would push that old outhouse straight into the creek. So, one day after a spring rain, the creek was swollen and the little boy decided today was the day to push the outhouse into the creek. He found a large pole and started pushing. Finally, after much effort, the outhouse toppled into the creek and floated away. That night his dad told him they were going to the woodshed after supper. The boy knew that meant a spanking, so he asked why. The dad replied, "Someone pushed the outhouse into the creek today. It was you, wasn't it son?" The boy answered “Yes, Dad. I’m not going to lie; it was me.” Then he thought a moment and said, "Dad, I read in school today that George Washington chopped down a cherry tree and didn't get into trouble because he told the truth . . .The dad replied, "Well, son, George Washington's father wasn't in the cherry tree."Sowing and Reaping. It is not only applicable for farming, but to life as well. It’s called “The Law of the Harvest.” Which simply means, “you reap what you sow, you reap more than you sow, and you reap later than you sow.” You may not like it, you may not even agree with it; however, neither opinion changes it. It is a law. The same holds true regarding the Law of Gravity. Climb the highest building and jump off, you will quickly discover the Law of Gravity is no respecter of persons. It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe it, disagree with it or refuse to accept it. It’s a law.In Galatians 6:7-8, the Apostle Paul reminds Christians not to be deceived. Don’t be duped. Don’t be tricked into thinking. God cannot be mocked! He can’t be fooled. He can’t be ridiculed. He can’t be tricked. He sees all, He hears all and He knows all. Nothing is hidden from the eyes and ears of God. It is all exposed. Therefore, it would be wise and very prudent to chose your decisions and choices based on Gods’ moral law. His standard. His Word (The Bible). It is His law, not ours - regardless if you don’t like it, believe it, or disagree with it. The fact remains it is God’s law, and you will reap what you sow, more than you sow and later than you sow. Therefore, if you sow to gratify your flesh—you will reap from the flesh spiritual death, ruin and destruction. However if you sow to the Spirit—you will reap from the Spirit eternal life in the presence of God for eternity.Choose wisely, because choices will always produce consequences. It’s the “Law of the Harvest.”Love God.
