So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.

The Greatest Sacrifice
We’ve all watched the following scene play out in the game of baseball late in the game. Runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs. The hitter steps out of the box and gets the sacrifice bunt sign from the 3rd base coach. The pitch is thrown and the hitter gives up his desire to hit. He squares around and executes the sacrifice bunt to perfection. The runners move up and the game is eventually won.In a similar way, the Apostle Paul is reminding us the very same thing in the verse above. He is saying as followers of Jesus Christ, Christians, Disciples, our lives no longer belongs to ourselves. We are to present our bodies as a “living sacrifice.” We are to exchange what we want for what God wants to do in us and through us. You see, Jesus sacrificed His life on the cross for us. Even while we were still sinners Christ died for us—therefore we ought to sacrifice our life for Him, every-single-day!As we are going to work, going to the ballpark, going to the grocery store, going to the restaurant, going to the school campus, or going to the _________ (fill in the blank), we are to BE disciples and MAKE more disciples. We are to know Christ and make Him known. We are to exchange ordinary living for an extraordinary life. Say it however you wish—we are to present our body as a “living sacrifice” for Jesus Christ.Allow me to encourage you to be all that God has called you to be, and embrace what He wants to do in your life and through your life, every single day.
